I need to explain the difference between the breath/{oxygen}AND the spirit of life that God provides for all of the creatures in creation who use oxygen and in particular all naturally conceived persons and the spirit that God the Holy Spirit forms within each person at his/her conception.
Genesis 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath{/oxygen} or spirit of life, and man became a living being {some translations have “soul”}. [1 Cor 15:45-49.] AMP
Job 34:14-15 If [God] should set His heart upon him [man] and withdraw His [life-giving] spirit and His breath [from man] to Himself, 15 All flesh would perish together, and man would turn again to dust. [Ps 104:29; Eccl 12:7.] AMP
Zechariah 12:1b Thus says the Lord, Who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him {at their conception which enables them to communicate with the spiritual realm – BOTH/either or the demonic realm or God the Holy Spirit}: AMP
Oxygen is produced by green plants in a process called photosynthesis and it is guesstimated that 450 species of animals and 48 families of fish breathe oxygen. Only one known 8 millimeter parasite does NOT breathe oxygen. What is interesting to me is this breath which contains oxygen also contains the spirit of life which I believe enables ALL creatures to have something called “instinct” – “an innate {inborn characteristic resulting in a}, typically fixed pattern of behavior in BOTH people and animals in response to certain stimuli.”
{EXAMPLE – You are not supposed to eat sweets, but as you walk by a bowl of candy your mind triggers the stimuli for sweets and you instinctually without thinking take some. Animals, mammals, fish, birds, and insects migrate north or south for different seasons of the year which I believe result from the ministry/ work of God the Holy Spirit in God the Son’s creation.
The other day I received an email from an electronics firm that I do business with which stated they were charging to my bank account $500 for a two year service contract. I immediately reacted without first praying about it to get God’s input, or was I impulsive, impetuous, unthinking, thoughtless, spontaneous, or was it INSTINCTIVELY that I immediately clicked on the phone number and my computer was instantly scammed to the extent of over $700 of damage to get it back to normal operating condition. I later contacted my bank, and they did NOT have any charges against my account. A very expensive, STUPID and HARD lesson!!! Do NOT be like me!!!
I shared this story with a friend of mine and he shared a very similar story EXCEPT he did NOT click to open the email, and instead he contacted the business which did NOT have any transactions on his account but he said “I was so close to clicking on the icon.” Now he did NOT first pray about it to get God’s input, or was he impulsive, impetuous, unthinking, thoughtless, spontaneous, or was it INSTINCTIVELY that he did NOT click on the icon? Think about this because you are NOT too different from us!}
There are several Scriptures that share about man and beasts having “instinct” – please do NOT make instinct something that it isn’t!
Job 38:36 {God revealing His omnipotence to Job} “Who gives intuition {hunches} and instinct {a fixed pattern of behavior in response to certain stimuli in humans}?
{Another translation} Job 38:36 Who has put wisdom in the mind? Or who has given understanding to the heart? NKJV
{Either God the Holy Spirit and His Word are your stimulus or Satan will provide his stimulus in your life!} TLB
Romans 7:15 {Paul talking} For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled, bewildered]. I do not practice or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing that I loathe [which my moral instinct {now versus my old corrupt behavior as my stimuli for doing these things} condemns]. AMP
2 Peter 2:12 But these [people]! Like unreasoning beasts, mere creatures of instinct, born [only] to be captured and destroyed, railing at things of which they are ignorant, they shall utterly perish in their [own] corruption [in their destroying they shall surely be destroyed], AMP
Jude 10 But these men revile (scoff and sneer at) anything they do not happen to be acquainted with and do not understand; and whatever they do understand physically [that which they know by mere instinct], like irrational beasts — by these they corrupt themselves and are destroyed (perish). AMP
We now must look at the working of our formed spirit by God the Holy Spirit at one’s conception with one’s developing a relationship to the spiritual realm whether it be with Satan or God. Depending on your relationship with God, He has either eternal life with Him for you or you will be eternally separated from Him!
Romans 3:23 Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives. AMP
Romans 6:23 For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord. AMP
John 3:18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation — he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.] AMP
Romans 8:1 THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. [John 3:18.] AMP
I believe there are only two creatures in ALL of God’s creation who can worship God in a spiritual way – NO OTHER CREATURES IN CREATION CAN WORSHIP GOD EXCEPT angels and man.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality). AMP
